-> The Banque Régionale de Solidarité Group

The BRS Group Holding is a Limited Company with a Board of Directors, created on 10 May 2004 in Lomé boasting eighty-seven (87) shareholders, individuals and legal entities, as company founders. The hard core shareholding is made up of strategic and reference shareholders whose financial weight, name, credibility or sector of activity are liable to facilitate the success of the mission and objectives entrusted to the Group. These are institutions from the UEMOA (the Fonds d’Actions Communautaires of the UEMOA, the Banque Ouest Africaine de Développement, the UEMOA or West African Economic and Monetary Union); national financial bodies or institutions involved in collecting small savings, funds earmarked management and microcredit distribution; insurance companies, pension and guarantee funds.

   

The BRS group, whose main activity is banking in each of the states of the UEMOA area, aims to help finance agricultural, industrial, traditional and small-scale microbusinesses. It aims for the integration of young people and the reintegration of workers into the world of work and more generally the development of activities generating employment and income.

-> GIM-UEMOA

The GIM-UEMOA, or Interbank Electronic Financial Transaction Group for the West African Economic and Monetary Union, is the regulation structure that manages interbank electronic financial transactions in the UEOMA area. It was set up by Banks, Financial and Postal Establishments in liaison with the CBWAS within the framework of the Modernisation of Systems and Methods of Payment. It was created in February 2003 as an Economic Interest Group, which then became an “International Body” in 2004.
